Is SEO a waste of time? Empty Is SEO a waste of time?

We work hard to SEO our sites just to have our affiliate links switched by someone elses. Does anyone know how to prevent having your affiliate link swapped out by a parasite? I have heard that using some code in each link will prevent the parasites affiliate link from being switched. Does anyone know about this?
